5 steps for perfect cleansing

Cleansing is the foundation of our facial care. Unclean skin means lots of bacteria – carried on your hands, dust, pollutants from the air, exhaust fumes, sweat and sebum that clog pores. As a result, imperfections and even irritation and inflammation usually appear.

In turn, careful, regular cleansing of the face twice a day, morning and evening, has a positive effect not only on the condition of the skin, but also on the performance of cosmetics. The creams are better absorbed and, consequently, the active ingredients work better. When you apply the cream to cleansed facial skin, it does not have to “get through” the layer of sebum and other impurities.

Makeup removal

Eye makeup removal

The most common mistake made when removing makeup from the eyes – especially when we’re talking about mascara – is rubbing the eyes with a cotton swab. In this way, we unknowingly worsen the condition of the skin in this area. Around the eye, the skin is the thinnest, most sensitive. It shows signs of aging much faster than the rest of the face. In addition, doing so contradicts the premise of how micellar liquids work.

The correct way to remove eye makeup: apply a soaked cotton pad to the eye, squeeze gently and wait a few tens of seconds. Micellar liquid dissolves color cosmetics. There is no need for heavy rubbing.

Facial makeup removal

Leftover foundation means we have not cleaned the skin thoroughly. Since the primer has been preserved, you can be sure that all the “unpleasantness” already mentioned above has been preserved. Because of this, our skin does not rest at night. No one likes to go to bed dirty. Regularly leaving makeup residue on the face will make our skin look tired and gray. To mask this, you will start applying more and more foundation. Vicious circle. And the solution is simple – cleanse your face carefully!

Depending on your preference, choose a makeup removal product – a milk or a micellar liquid. Don’t be guided by the smell! The more natural product you choose, the more your skin will thank you.

Face gel

One of the more underestimated elements of cleansing. Why? Many people admit that they use ordinary soap to wash their face, the same soap they use in the shower. The situation can be compared to feeding a dog cat food. He eats – yes, but it does not meet his needs. In the same way, ordinary soap does not meet the needs of facial skin – skin that is much more delicate than on the rest of the body.

Ordinary soap has too strong an effect. The hydrolipid barrier of our facial skin may not be able to keep up when we use it to cleanse. Depriving the skin of its hydrolipod barrier is the first step to ruining its appearance. It will become tired, hyper-reactive and very sensitive to all the factors that the hydrolipod barrier should protect it from.

Toning

Tonik is a cosmetic designed to restore the skin to its proper pH, but in addition, it has a moisturizing effect and perceptibly refreshes the skin. It is usually very pleasant to use, and the skin seems to be more radiant. This is the effect of the soothing effect of the tonic. Therefore, we recommend the use of the tonic to everyone, especially those with sensitive skin and prone to irritation. We point out, however, not to rub the skin too hard with the cotton swab, so as not to achieve the opposite effect. It is entirely sufficient to gently move a cotton pad soaked in the product over the surface of the skin.

It is worth mentioning that toning the skin improves the absorption of active ingredients contained in creams and masks, so you should use a tonic both in the morning and in the evening.

Enzymatic peel

Enzyme peels are as important a part of facial cleansing as the previous points. The difference is that they should not be used as often. To maintain good skin condition, just use them 1-2 times a week.

Enzyme peels are designed to dissolve dead skin cells. We can’t get rid of them with makeup remover products or face gels, because that’s not what they’re for.

Cleansing in the salon

To keep your skin in perfect condition, we recommend visiting a trusted beauty salon once a month. A professional will not only cleanse your skin more thoroughly, but will also help you figure out what type of skin you have, advise on appropriate home care and suggest a treatment tailored to your needs. The important advantage of regular meetings with a cosmetologist should not be overlooked here – an experienced person will notice changes that may be symptoms of diseases and require consultation with a doctor and specialized treatment. This is especially important when symptoms initially appear harmless. An example of such a situation is rosacea – it initially manifests itself through a mild erythema, which, although it disappears slowly, is not a blemish on beauty. However, poor care of vascular skin can lead to a serious stage of rosacea, the treatment of which already requires consultation with a surgeon.

Finally, something positive – part of the cleansing in the beauty salon is a facial massage, which everyone seems to like

Facial massage you can do yourself? Who once feels the hands of a professional, will never repeat it again!
